花序以下的側枝摘除,以利通風和透光。若長得太高也要摘心,但花序以上保留兩三片葉子,以防果實被太陽光灼傷。To promote a strong trunk and root system, remove leaves all the way up to the second set of mature leaves, counting from the top. leave the top two sets of leaves above the ground and bury the rest of the plant.

在室內(70-80F)將喜愛的番茄種子在春天霜降前的8-10週,先事先浸濕培養土,然後將種子種在1/2吋深處中,上面蓋上ㄇ型透明的塑膠蓋子約1-2星期直到發出嫩葉,等到霜凍結束後,每天日照長達六小時以上才將幼苗移種至室外。

蕃茄黃豆芽排骨湯Tomato and soybean sprouts soup
材料:

  • 1  large tomato 番茄底部劃兩刀呈十字形 (score an "X" in the skin on the base of the tomato )
  • 2-3 pieces of  pork spareribs小排骨2-3塊
  • 1 big bowl of soybean sprouts 黃豆芽去除根部的鬚根並清洗乾淨(wash and remove soybean sprouts' root elongated)
  • a little bit salt鹽少許
  1. 水滾後將底部切十字的番茄放入燙約20秒鐘皮就會捲起,撈出放入冰水中冰鎮,皮很容易就可以剝除,可將蕃茄切半擠出小籽,再切成小塊。prepare a small pot of boiling water. Immerse  tomato for about 20 seconds until the skin splits,then lift the tomato out of the pot and immediately submerge it  in a bowl of  ice water.  Peeling off the skin and cut the tomato in half and gently squeeze out the seeds.  Place each half cut-side down and cut into strips. Cut across the strips to make dice.
  2. 同鍋的水入排骨燙去血水,再撈出冲洗乾淨Continue to use the same pot of water to boil spareribs until they turn white.
  3. 備另一湯鍋放入洗淨的排骨熬煮約30分鐘,續入黃豆芽和蕃茄塊煮至香味四溢入鹽調味Put clean spareribs in another pot of water to boil then simmer about 30 mins. add soybean sprouts and peeled diced tomato for another 30 mins when soup smell good. put a little salt to taste. Enjoy !
